Shore Up the Prostate
First and foremost, I’d like to say happy Remembrance Day to everyone and to take the time and give a massive shout out to all the war veterans out there. Thank you so much for your sacrifice and giving me and all the rest of us here in Canada and the US the freedoms that we enjoy. If it weren’t for you only the good Lord above would know how bad it would be. So, thank you, lest we forget!
This week I wanted to look at three foods that can and will help us guys with not only getting the prostate strong and lasting long. These three foods simply look at producing more of what we had in abundance when we were younger. These three foods help produce IGF-2, testosterone, and Branch Chain Amino Acids (aka BCAA).
• Berries, are par none some of the best source of producing huge amounts of testosterone. They are also considered a super food. Some of the berries that you should be looking at are blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, goji berries.
• Red Meat, any and all red meat helps not only produce IGF-2, testosterone and BCAA it makes a man feel like a man. Nothing “feels” better than a good AAA steak medium raw, and it helps us fight off prostate cancer as well! Yeah sign me up for this one.
• Chocolate, I had one guy tell me that I had him sold at chocolate. The truth is that chocolate is yet another super food, one that can save your life. It is loaded with chemicals that helps your body naturally produce testosterone and IGF-2 with the entire “feel good” feeling you get from just eating chocolate this is one of my personal favourite’s.
There are a ton of other foods out there that you can eat to help you shore up the prostate so don’t be afraid to seek them out and mix and match. One of my favourite post workout meals is frozen berries sprinkled with 100% raw chocolate nibs. This not only helps me build the muscle I want, it is saving my life as well as making me feel awesome.
